Week 3 – The Principle of Faith

Week 3 – The Principle of Faith

Faith is a state of mind. It may be induced by repeated instructions to the subconscious mind through the principle of autosuggestion. It only appears in a mind dominated by positive thoughts and elevated emotions.

You can develop it at will, after you have mastered the 13 principles, because it is a state of mind which develops voluntarily, through the application of these principles.

Positive Vibrations

The human mind is constantly attracting vibrations. There are no limitations to the mind except those we acknowledge. Both riches and poverty are the offspring of a thought.

The ether is a mass of cosmic forces of vibration. At all times it carries vibrations of prosperity, health, success, and happiness, but also vibrations of fear, poverty, failure, and misery.

When faith is blended with the vibration of thought, the subconscious mind instantly picks up the vibration, translates it into its spiritual equivalent and transmits it into Infinite Intelligence.

Repetition of affirmation of orders to our subconscious mind is the only known method to harness the principle of faith. All thoughts which have been emotionalised (given feeling) and mixed with faith begin immediately to translate themselves into their physical equivalent. It’s the emotional portion of thoughts that induces action and gives them vitality and life.

A mind dominated by elevated emotions becomes a favourable place for the state of mind known as faith. But remember, the subconscious mind will just as readily act upon impulses of a negative or destructive nature as it will on thought impulses of a positive or constructive nature.

Negative Vibrations

Millions of people are the creators of their own misfortune because of unconscious negative thoughts that are picked up by their subconscious mind and translated into their physical equivalent.

If we allow our mind to be filled with fear, doubt, or unbelief about our ability to connect with and use Infinite Intelligence, autosuggestion will take this unbelief and use it as a pattern against us. Our subconscious mind will transmute negative thoughts into their physical equivalent.

Faith is the only known antidote to failure and is the eternal elixir which gives life, power, and action to the impulse of thought. There is a system we can become practiced at to harness the principle of faith.

The Self-Confidence System

Firstly, we must be very clear about the object of our burning desire and demand of ourselves persistent continuous action towards its attainment.

Second, we must believe that the dominating thoughts of our mind will eventually reproduce themselves into their physical reality.

Third, know that through the principle of autosuggestion any desire that we persistently hold in our mind will eventually seek expression through some practical means.

Fourth, write out a description of our chief aim in life with every detail that will inspire and excite us, giving clarity to our vision, bringing elevated emotions to the surface of our mind, and lighting a fire under our imagination.

Fifth, commit to action and to attracting to ourselves the forces we wish to use, including importantly the cooperation of other people.

Sign our name to the written description and read it aloud each day with full faith that it will influence our thoughts, feelings, and actions.

Every man is who he is because of the dominating thoughts he permits to occupy his mind.
